Dr. Girish and Mrs. Chhaya Bhatt, long-time AIChE members, recently made a leadership donation to the Foundation in recognition of the professional and personal growth AIChE has provided throughout Dr. Bhatt’s five-decade membership. Their gift underscores the lasting bond between members and the Institute and supports future engineers through education, innovation, and professional development opportunities.

This December, the AIChE® Gala — Engineering a Decade of Impact — will mark the 10th anniversary of the Foundation’s Doing a World of Good campaign. Over the past decade, Gala support has raised millions to strengthen process safety education, award scholarships, expand faculty and K–12 programs, and foster inclusion across the profession. The 2025 Gala will honor all who have advanced societal good through chemical engineering and look ahead to the next decade of impact.

Two newly approved Foundation-funded projects are empowering students to lead with purpose. The SAFE Leader Movement and LGBTQIA+ and Allies Pilot Outreach initiative both foster accessible, inclusive, and values-driven environments for chemical engineering students. As the Foundation celebrates 10 years of Doing a World of Good, these projects reflect a continued commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders.
